What Acids and Bases covers
Acids and bases is examined on Papers 1 and 3, and is the most calculation-heavy topic in physical chemistry. It runs from the Brønsted-Lowry definition through pH of strong and weak acids and bases to titration curves, indicators and buffers.
Where it is assessed
Papers 1 and 3
Inorganic and physical chemistry, then the synoptic paper.

Pairs that lose marks when they are blurred together.
Brønsted–Lowry acid vs Brønsted–Lowry base
Brønsted–Lowry acid: a species donating a proton. Brønsted–Lowry base: a species accepting a proton.
Strong acid vs Weak acid
Strong acid: a proton donor that fully dissociates in water. Weak acid: a proton donor that only partially dissociates in water.
Equivalence point vs End point
Equivalence point: stage where reactants have combined in the exact stoichiometric ratio. End point: stage where an indicator changes colour.
