What are the six articles of faith in Sunni Islam?
Model answer
Sunni Muslims believe in Allah, the angels, the holy books and the prophets. Sunni Muslims also believe in the Day of Judgement and predestination.
- 2
What does belief in Allah as the first article of faith require?
Model answer
A Muslim must believe that Allah is the one and only God. Allah has no partner, equal or offspring.

Model answer
A Muslim accepts every prophet Allah sent, without favouring some and rejecting others. Muhammad is accepted as the last prophet.

What is the Day of Judgement in Sunni belief?
Model answer
The Day of Judgement is the day Allah will raise the dead and judge every person. Each person will be sent to paradise or hell.
