Model answer
God says that he reared children who have rebelled against him. The ox knows its owner and the donkey its master's crib, but Israel does not know and does not understand.
- 6
On what grounds does Isaiah 1:11-15 reject the people's worship?

God declares that he has had enough of burnt offerings, that incense is an abomination and that he will hide his eyes from their prayers, because their hands are full of blood. Worship offered by those who practise injustice is refused.
