Model answer
A conductor drove a bus at the end of a journey and injured a pedestrian. The court held the employer not liable, because driving formed no part of a conductor's job.

A prohibition limiting the scope of the job takes the conduct outside the employment. A prohibition on the manner of doing the job leaves the employer liable.
