Forgiveness is letting go of anger and the desire for revenge against someone who has done wrong. Forgiveness does not mean pretending the wrong did not happen.
- 2
What did Jesus teach about how often to forgive?
Model answer
Jesus told Peter to forgive not seven times but seventy-seven times. Forgiveness should have no limit.
- 3
What does the Lord's Prayer teach about forgiveness?

The Lord's Prayer asks God to forgive us as we forgive others. God's forgiveness is linked to forgiving others.
- 4
What does Matthew 5:21–26 teach about anger and reconciliation?
Model answer
Jesus teaches that anger against another person is as serious as murder. Believers should be reconciled with others before offering gifts at the altar.
- 5

Model answer
Christians believe God forgave them through the death of Jesus. Christians must therefore forgive others.
- 6
