Questions from this subtopic
Each one with the model answer underneath.
- 1
What do Muslims teach about peacemaking?
Model answer
Muslims are commanded to make peace between people in conflict. Muhammad said reconciling people is better than voluntary fasting, prayer and charity.
- 2
What does Surah 41:34 teach about peacemaking?
Model answer
Surah 41:34 tells believers to repel evil with what is better. An enemy may then become a devoted friend.
- 3
What does Surah 41:35–36 add about responding to enmity?
Model answer
Surah 41:35 says only the patient and the greatly fortunate can repel evil with good. Surah 41:36 tells believers to seek refuge in Allah when Shaytan provokes them.
- 4
What does Surah 41:31–33 teach about those who call others to good?
Model answer
Surah 41:33 says no one speaks better than a person who calls to Allah and does good. Allah's angels are friends to believers in this life and the next (Surah 41:31).
- 5
Why is justice important in peacemaking for Muslims?
Model answer
Muslims believe lasting peace is impossible without justice. Injustice breeds resentment, so peacemakers must address the causes of conflict.
- 6
Why are forgiveness and reconciliation important in Muslim peacemaking?

Forgiveness ends cycles of revenge, and reconciliation restores broken relationships. Muslims believe Allah rewards those who pardon their enemies.
